Monthly workshops aimed at families with younger children (approx. 4 – 8 years), and families with older children (approx. 8+), to explore, create and play.
An exciting opportunity for families to get hands on, creative and play together. Each session will invite you to try new activities, devise together as a family, design, make and take home your creations.
Each workshop takes place at Temperance Hall, and runs from 3pm – 4.30pm.

Puppetry: An Adventure to the Zoo (4-8 yrs)Come and meet our collection of puppets, take part in an interactive story and make your own family of puppets to take home with you. |

Comedy: Clowning & Bouncing back (8+)Working with stock comedy characters and slapstick techniques to look at clowning in all its guises. (Custard pies optional!) |

Design & Build: Exploring the Jungle (4-8 yrs)Come and transform the hall into a jungle experience. Using recycled materials, costumes and lighting to create your own family den. |
Saturday 15th March: |
Performance Skills: Circus skills & Physical Theatre (8+)Explore the traditional elements of the circus – from tightrope walking, stilts and juggling, to jumping through the ring of fire – come and choreograph your own family routine. Who’s going to be the ringmaster? |
Saturday 17th May 2014: |
Masks & Disguises: Hidden Woodland Creatures (4-8 yrs)Developing your own stories of a peaceful afternoon in the woodland, you are invited to make a family of animal masks and explore your habitat. |

Collaborative Theatre: The Infamous Brick Game (8+)This is a CYT classic – used frequently in workshops to build team rapport, understanding of performance, and individual responsibility. It’s time to teach the adults: energy & endurance required!! |
