CYT Weekly Sessions:
CYT on a Saturday: theatre workshops for three age groups (5-7s, 8-10s &11-14s), focusing on developing skills and confidence, using creativity and imagination to explore all aspects of theatre and production.
CYT on a Tuesday: theatre workshops for 14 – 18 year olds, exploring all aspects of the production process. Working collaboratively towards an intensive production week and three open performances, CYT Productions produce an original piece of theatre: devised, designed and performed by its members at The Court Theatre.
CYT Short Courses:
In addition to regular weekly workshops, these short courses offer the opportunity to explore elements of production in more detail. Each course runs for 5 weeks and will take place on a Monday evening. Suitable for two ages groups (8 -12 and 12+).
Courses Include: Writing for the Theatre, Theatre Costumes, Film Project and Special Effects & Make-Up.
CYT Family Projects:
Monthly workshops aimed at families with younger children (approx. 4 – 8 years), and families with older children (approx. 8+), to explore, create and play.
Workshops include: Puppetry, Circus Skills, Masks, The Brick Game
CYT Open House:
Meeting once a month, we are delighted to introduce our integrated theatre project, for young people aged 8+. This inclusive theatre experience encourages young people of all abilities to work together. Each session young people will have the opportunity to explore arts, drama, puppets, masks, music, costumes and lights.

CYT Masterclasses:
We are excited to launch a series of masterclasses aimed at young people aged 10 – 18. Taking place on a Saturday afternoon, these sessions will be delivered by our own professional tutors, as well as some guest tutors who will be sharing their specialisms. Masterclasses include: Stage Combat, Halloween Costume Making, Directing, Circus Skills and Puppetry.
