In addition to regular weekly workshops, these short courses offer the opportunity to explore elements of production in more detail. Each course runs for 5 weeks and will take place on a Monday evening. Suitable for two ages groups (8 – 12 and 12+).

All workshops take place at Temperance Hall, Christchurch Road, Tring, HP23 4EE. Our short courses run over 5 weeks and fees are payable by the first session.
All of our tutors and support workers have enhanced CRB clearance to work with children and young people.

Writing for the Theatre – Monday 4th November – Monday 2nd December 2013
This creative writing project will explore storytelling, character development and a variety of writing styles, including creating ideas for voiceovers and narrative performance. The material that is produced in these sessions will be used in the CYT Christmas Production. This project will be led by Liz Raba

Theatrical Costumes: Design & Make – Monday 13th January – Monday 10th February 2014
An opportunity to create costumes and accessories for a character of your choice. Experimenting with recycled materials and fabrics everyone will create a collection ranging from clothes and headwear to jewellery and belts. This project will be led by Joley Roberts.

Film Making – Monday 3rd – Monday 31st March 2014
Working with film cameras, lighting, boom microphones, green screen technology and editing software, this is a great opportunity to create, direct and perform in your very own film. Come and get hands on – no experience necessary. This project will be led by Liz Raba.

Special Effects & Theatrical Make-up – Monday 9th June – Monday 7th July 2014
An opportunity to explore all types of theatrical make-up. Each week will explore different genres including, thriller, fantasy, animals and wounds. A chance to get hands on and experiment with stage make-up, stage blood, face jewellery, feathers and character enhancements. This project will be led by Joley Roberts.
