Our summer festival Under Canvas returns for 39 days of live music and performance from Wed 3 Jul - Sat 24 Aug, and we're looking for artists to join the line-up!

Back this summer for its sixth year, Under Canvas is the Highlands' premiere live trad music festival which provides a platform for emerging musicians and paid employment to hundreds of artists from the Highlands and beyond.
Contemporary folk and traditional Scottish music are at the heart of Under Canvas, making up around 60% of all performance opportunities for artists, but we also welcome submissions from other genres.
The 2023 line-up included neo-trad collective Valtos, Kim Carnie, Calum MacPhail, Josie Duncan and Cala, as well as 2023 Young Traditional Musician of the Year Amy Laurenson.

We are now inviting acts and bands to submit their music for consideration for this year's festival programme, with a particular interest in musicians based in or connected to the Highlands, emerging artists and acts using or learning Gaelic.
